Born in Malaga (Spain) in 1992, Vanessa Morata creates artworks that often show scenes in everyday spaces packed with details. It is in those details where we find the references to pop culture and contemporary iconography that serve both as a tribute to these references and a criticism of consumer culture.
Techniques such as oil on canvas, acrylic paint or airbrush are combined to give shape to her works, which stand out for their brilliant colouring, carefully chosen to further accentuate that explosion and display of stimuli and information.
