Cranio was born in 1982 in Sao Paulo.
In 1998, he begins to paint on the walls of his hometown. While he is looking for a figure capable of representing the indigenous people of Brazil, he develops a series of characters whose silhouettes and blue colors are immediately recognizable around the world. These blue characters are staged in various situations that illustrate the artist’s squeaking humor. It initiates reflection on contemporary issues such as consumerism, corruption or environment.
CRANIO is an major figure on the urban art scene. He paints walls all over the world, and produces remarkable exhibitions in Miami, Amsterdam, and even Hong Kong.
