Some people come to the Island for its beauty. They travel North to lose themselves into the wildest beaches and forests full of pines; others come to this place to sweat in the middle of a crowd. Some others come to find their spirit, or their bodies. For some, it is a hard journey, a place that cleans you out after many years of neglection; for others it’s a pilgrimage they have been dreaming of and they finally achieved it.

It could be a place to pass through, a quick stop before going back to reality or it could be a paradisal bliss, an abnegated reality. For the Payesas it is their home and has it been for centuries, and once the wanderers, tourists, artists and arrows of time have passed through, it will be their home for more centuries to come.

Everyone sees this island through a lens and so Adda Gallery invites you to see Ibiza through the lenses of nine photographers from different backgrounds, cultures and countries, exhibiting their artwork, inspired and created on the island; to see Ibiza as they see it.
